Printable Christmas ornaments to color and cut

Print, color, cut out and hang on the tree: paper ornaments, 3D ornaments made of two parts, a paper chain and a letter banner. A good December afternoon with the kids.

Print it

You will need

Little children cut together with an adult, using scissors with rounded tips.

Print on A4 at 100% scale. Ornaments: pages 1–2, 3D ornaments: page 3, paper chain: page 4, banner: pages 5–7 – in the print window you can pick just some of them.

Open one by one

Ornaments to color

  1. Color the patterns inside – each stripe, dot and zigzag a different color.
  2. Cut the ornament out along the thick line.
  3. Make a hole in the circle at the top with a hole punch, or push a pencil through with an eraser underneath.
  4. Thread a string through, tie a loop and hang it on the tree.

3D ornaments made of two parts

  1. Print this page on thick paper or card stock – plain paper bends.
  2. Color both parts the same and cut them out along the thick line.
  3. Cut out the narrow strips in the middle: in part A from the top to halfway, in part B from halfway down.
  4. Slide part B into part A from the top, open them into a cross and hang it by the hole in part B.

Paper chain

  1. Color the strips – print the page a few times for a longer chain.
  2. Cut the strips out along the thick line.
  3. Put glue on the gray end, bend the strip into a ring and press it together.
  4. Pass the next strip through the last ring and glue it too – link by link.

Letter banner

  1. Color the letters and the stars.
  2. Cut out the flags along the thick line.
  3. Fold the top strip along the dashed line, lay a string under it and glue it down.
  4. Put the letters in order and leave a gap between the words.
