How to use the cards and labels
Copy out a family recipe – grandma’s gingerbread, the cookies everyone asks for – and tuck the card into a tin of the same cookies as a gift, or collect cards from the whole family into one recipe box. At a cookie exchange, stick a label on each box or set it by the plate: it says what the cookies are, who brought them and what’s in them, so guests with allergies know what they can eat.
How to print and cut
- Print at 100% (not “Fit to page”) on A4 or Letter – two pages.
- Use thick paper or light card stock, around 200 gsm (70–80 lb), so the cards last in a recipe box.
- Cut along the dashed lines: each card is 6 × 4 inches, each label about 85 × 55 mm.
- Write the recipe by hand and add your name after “From the kitchen of”.
- Fill in a label for each box of cookies and tick what they contain.
