How big a gift fits on a sheet

One sheet gives a piece of paper of 19 × 25.2 cm: enough for a box of 12 × 8 × 3 cm – jewelry, a cosmetic, a card game. A book of 20 × 13 × 3 cm needs two sheets side by side, taped together from the back along the long edge: 38 × 25.2 cm in all.

How to wrap a gift

  1. Print at 100% scale; plain 80 g/m² paper is fine – thinner paper creases more easily. No need for borderless printing.
  2. Children color patterns 4 and 5 with crayons or felt-tip pens – not paints, which make the paper wavy.
  3. Cut off the white margin along the thin grey line.
  4. For a bigger gift, lay two sheets edge to edge – the pattern lines up – and tape them together from the back.
  5. Wrap the gift, close it with double-sided tape and add a gift tag.
