Catch the presents: Santa’s sleigh against the coal

How to play

Move the sleigh with the arrow keys (or A and D), lead it with the mouse or a finger on the board, or hold the ◀ ▶ buttons under it. Every present you catch counts; one you miss simply falls into the snow. Each lump of coal you catch takes one of your 3 hearts and the game ends with the last one; on Easy there is no coal and a round lasts 60 seconds.

For teachers: put the game on the interactive whiteboard and let the children take turns at the arrows. For the youngest choose Easy – no coal at all, just presents for one minute.

Fun fact: in Italy the good witch La Befana brings sweets on the night before 6 January – and naughty children get a lump of coal, today usually made of black sugar.
