Pick two matching tiles that a line can join
How to play
Clear the board by taking off matching pairs: the same shape, the same colour and the same digit in the corner. Two tiles go when a line of at most three straight parts – so with at most 2 turns – joins them over empty squares only; the line may also leave the board and run round its edge. Click or tap the two tiles, or use the arrow keys with Space or Enter; H gives a hint, S shuffles, U undoes the last pair and P pauses – when no move is left, the tiles left shuffle themselves for free. Easy has 48 tiles and Normal 96, both without a clock; Fast gives 96 tiles 4 minutes, and every pair adds 2 seconds.
For teachers: the game trains careful looking and planning – children spot matching tiles and think about which pair to take first so that others are not blocked. On an interactive whiteboard the class can hunt for pairs together, and Easy has no time limit.
Fun fact: glass Christmas baubles were first blown in the middle of the 19th century in Lauscha, a small glassmaking town in Thuringia, Germany.
