How to play

Work out the sum and tap the button with the right answer, or type the number in the box and press Enter; on a keyboard the keys 1, 2 and 3 pick a button, and P pauses. A right answer hangs a bauble and is worth 10 points, 5 more on Normal and Fast when given within 3 seconds, and from 5 right answers in a row the points count double; after a wrong answer the game shows the right one and takes no points away. 10 baubles put the star on top and bring the next tree; Easy (adding and taking away up to 10) lasts 3 trees with no clock and lets a wrong answer be tried again, while Normal (up to 20, bridging through ten) and Fast (times tables and division) are 90-second rounds.

For teachers and parents: Easy suits preschool and the first year of school, Normal the first and second years, and Fast the second to fourth years, when the times tables are practised. On an interactive whiteboard children can come up in turn while the rest of the class works the sums out in their heads.
